About ProHiP_

The Press History Program (PROHIP) brings together researchers, teachers, scholars and graduate and undergraduate students whose research topics are related, from different perspectives, to the history of the press in a broad chronological framework, ranging from the late nineteenth century to the mid-twentieth century. Developed within the framework of the Laboratory for Research in Human Sciences (LICH) and the Center for Latin American Studies (CEL), the Press History Program is a space for research and academic training, but it’s also an area for the organization of academic activities (workshops, congresses, conferences, among others) and outreach activities that bring together national and international specialists. The Program also aims to strengthen links with related institutions and groups, through projects and various cooperation agreements.
